How can Happy Foie be "unstuffed"?
"We take ordinary livers from healthy, free-range animals. These animals naturally do not have a fatty liver (fatty liver = French Foie Gras). In the Food Lab in Münster, we have developed a process that allows us to enrich and enhance these ordinary livers with fat post mortem. We exclusively process animal and plant fats and do not use any artificial additives."
As a result, the fats in Happy Foie are distributed just as finely as in a foie gras or fatty liver grown through force-feeding in animals.
What makes Happy Foie a high-quality specialty?
Happy Foie creates a unique sensation in the mouth similar to conventional foie gras - it is unique in terms of its aromatic properties as well as its consistency.
The Taste: Foie Gras and also Happy Foie create a unique combination of fine nutty flavors and the slightly bitter taste of spicy liver. It is also unique that Foie Gras and also Happy Foie can be flexibly combined with almost all flavors - whether with sweet-sour fruit jams or with hearty steak.

Which fat is added?
"In our products, we use carefully selected fat sources to ensure high-quality flavor. Our approach aims to integrate a balanced mix of healthy and natural fats. This includes animal fats that are retained during the processing of meat products and enhance their natural taste."

Where does the liver come from?
Bio Duck Liver:
"We source our organic duck liver from the company Eiermacher in Upper Austria, which has specialized in alternative farming methods since 1980. As the organic pioneer in Austria, Eiermacher ensures that the entire production cycle is structured and established according to organic guidelines. The highest animal welfare standards and impeccable quality of the organic duck products are guaranteed."
Bio-Foie Gras:
Our organic goose liver comes from a small, family-run organic farm in Fulda. The species-appropriate goose farming is conducted according to the guidelines of organic agriculture. The meat is guaranteed to be free of antibiotics, pesticides, growth promoters, and chemicals.
Organic Poultry Liver (Turkey and Chicken):
We source the poultry liver from the North Rhine-Westphalian producers' cooperative Biofleisch NRW. The member farmers market their organically raised pigs, cattle, lambs, and Poultry collectively, act as partners for other ecologically operating farmers, and are members of organic associations. The species-appropriate housing of the animals in barns with plenty of space to move, daylight, and lying areas, as well as the use of organic feed, promotes health, vitality, and resilience. The animals receive exclusively plant-based feed, which predominantly comes from their own farms, without the use of antibiotics or genetically modified feed.

Can I sauté Happy Foie?
Yes, Happy Foie can be sautéed in a hot pan or on the plancha.
For optimal results, we recommend briefly and intensely frying a slice of Happy Foie in a Teflon-coated pan on both sides.

How should Happy Foie be stored?
At Happy Foie, it is a semi-preserve, which is why it must be stored in a cool place. Please note the following points for storage:
1. Store in a cool place:
Always keep Happy Foie in the refrigerator to maintain the quality and freshness of the product.
2. Store airtight:
Keep the Happy Foie in its original packaging or an airtight container to minimize contact with air and avoid oxidation.
3. Observe the minimum shelf life:

Can Happy Foie be frozen?
"If freezing cannot be avoided, here are two tips from the master chef for you:"
- Use Happy Foie in its frozen state to grate over golden brown toast, lightly toasted brioche, or a tender steak of your choice. You will immerse yourself in an unparalleled experience of different temperature and flavor sensations on your palate.

Within Germany, we ship our temperature-sensitive products with DPD Food Express from Monday to Thursday. Orders placed by 11:00 AM are usually shipped on the same day. The delivery time is typically 24 hours. There is no shipping on Fridays, weekends, and public holidays to ensure compliance with the cold chain and to avoid any potential storage over the weekend.
